4 out of 5 stars A nice little I Ching   July 11, 2010
Brahman
Although a bit too moralistic in some spots, this is a very good modern translation of the I Ching. It has the added benefit of a hinged jacket so that you don't have to worry about cracking the spine everytime you refer to a specific judgment.

5 out of 5 stars Wei Excellent   June 17, 2010

Excellent book I recommend it 100%, It is an extraordinay complement to the book of changes translated by Richard Wilhelm.

5 out of 5 stars ''The i-ching''   April 5, 2010

''The i-ching''
Wu Wei's book of answers Is a very explicit, practical and quick guide to consult at any moment.
Wu Wei has compelled a new explanation of the deep wisdom of Fu Xsi's apocalyptical inspiration of the ''i-ching'' that is quite easy for westerners readers and seekers of Light in the darkness of this Samsara world.
A great companion indeed that offers the possibility to resolve or avoid any problems of every day life.
Thanks Wu Wei !
Aina

5 out of 5 stars Excellent American version of the I Ching   November 11, 2009

I have had other translations of the I Ching, going back to my hippie days (now 35+ years ago). I never "got" it before. The instructions and overview sections are crystal-clear. I bought the yarrow stalks as recommended (it's slightly cheaper to buy the book + yarrow stalks separately then to buy the "gift" set). I used the yarrow stalk method as instructed. I have asked 2 questions so far, and I have to say the correspondance between the "answers" and my questions and subsequent actions is 100%. I will continue to consult it. I am thankful to Wu Wei (Chris Prentiss who also does praiseworthy work with addiction) for his efforts here. I guess his son Pax helped with the translations too, so I am thankful to him as well.

3 out of 5 stars Not quite what I expected   July 4, 2008

I have "Zen & The Art of Happiness" so I figured I would love this book just as much. I didn't know it was all about how to tell your fortune with yarrow sticks (which I didn't buy with the book) and not an uplifting read that doesn't require me to buy anything extra.
