OK, seems better to just check on the internet February 22, 2010 B. Shapiro (MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Seems to be missing a lot, but maybe the alternative would mean it would be the size of a large dictionary?
offers practical advice February 4, 2010 Annie (Austin, Texas) My copy is well worn and I've been referring to this books for years. It offers practical considerations of the possible meanings behind symbols in dreams.
Cloud Nine March 21, 2009 Cheryl K. Diegel 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book was a little older and dingier than I would like. It is a gift and I may give my copy to my friend instead of the one I purchased for her because it is in much better shape. A little disappointed. But service was quick and prompt.
Cloud 9?! January 15, 2009 R. Reynolds 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As a very basic, breeze over reference book, it does it's job. However, if more in depth analysis and reflection is desired then look elsewhere. Remember that this book is simply a jumping off point to help you in analyzing your own dreams. It is lacking many common terms. Recommended for the heavy-eyed, light sleeping reader who requires immediate satisfaction.
Better than most January 3, 2009 Nancy E. Turner (Tucson, AZ USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Often in other books on dreams you will read ridiculous fortune-telling, like - if you dream of a red dog you will lose money in business. This one is heavily weighted toward Jungian psychology and keeps things more realistic. CLOUD NINE works from the premise that all dreams are either part of your waking life that your subconscious is re-hashing, or symbols of something you know and are either worried about, afraid of, or have other strong feelings regarding in your waking life. Some of the symbols are true, some should be taken with a dose of skepticism. Thomsom does a good job of keeping the field of dreams and their meaning above the level of most dream books. Some people might find the exercises helpful.
