A lot of mistakes... January 8, 2009 Lynn C. Headley (Dublin, OH USA) This book has a lot of great info, and it is helpful in many ways, but there are a lot of mistakes in it: page 17: "Deposit Gifts" it says when you donate 10,000 bells you get the box of tissues, and 1,000,000 you get the piggy bank. at 10,000 you actually get the shopping card, then at 100,000 you get the tissues. at 1,000,000 you get a GOLD shopping card, and at 10,000,000 you get the piggy bank. on page 135 it shows several models (house models and town hall) and they say they are spotlight items available from Nook's for 1,800 bells. these models are NOT for sale, the houses you get through HRA points and the town hall model you get after you've had a town for one year. page 161: the new year's shirt 2011 is pictured as the alternate "Frog shirt" which is actually a regular shirt you buy at able sisters. the new year shirt should be of a bunny, as they are based on the chinese zodiac animals there are a few more, but these ones really threw me off. If you're like me, you depend on this book for information, especially when it comes to what items you can and can not sell. I also don't understand why the guides never have hybrid guides or hairstyle guides. I think everyone would appreciate having that info too.
Helpful Friend January 7, 2009 M (USA) This book is really helpful. After reading the reviews I was worried it would be confusing. It is not. I loved how they put the price of things and pictures. Normally I would have to run and get a fossil checked in the museum and run to Tom Nooks and then run back to the museum if I want to sell a fossil. Now I just look up the fossil and see if I want to donate it or sell it. I can also do the same with fish and bugs. It also has pictures of people who can move into your town. What visitors will come to your town and what gifts they will give you. Another thing I enjoyed was they had a check list by all the things you could collect. I was having alot of trouble making room that the Happy Room Academy liked. This book tells you what to do. It also shows you room themes what items are in them where you buy them how much they cost how much you can sell them for. They give you an example of what a room might look like. I love this book it is so worth $13. I even love mine even though I bought mine for $20. It was still worth it. This might just be my favorite book ever!
a must for the game! January 7, 2009 T. McQueen (Las Vegas, NV USA) The book is way useful when playing the game. It gave me so many hints and tips on how to make the experience way better. Having a calendar that lets you know things like what fish and bugs are available each month helps me to know what I'm looking for. Plus, you really can't beat the price on Amazon!
Animal Crossing City Folk, the saga continues January 7, 2009 Mary Ute (OH United States) Animal Crossing is one of the best games out there to play with your children from 4-11 years old. When my grandson was 4 we played AC on cube, by the time he was six he could play alone, and we mastered DS. This Xmas my 11 yr old grandaughter asked for AC Wii, so girls like it for a longer time I think. We played AC game cube, we played the DS version, and the version for Wii is not a disappointment. It is familiar with some new things to make it interesting. If you are looking for the same childlike fasination, you will love this; if you are expecting it to be a game that gets "older" or more advanced than the other versions, you will be unhappy. By all means, play it via the net.
Animal Crossing Wii Game January 6, 2009 J. Bryant (Asheville, NC) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We're enjoying the new Wii Animal Crossing Game. We like a lot of the differences between this Wii game and the same one on Nintendo DS and Nintendo Game Cube. However, we really liked this game on Nintendo Game Cube because of the controller. We could play really fast !! The controller for the Wii game is kind of clumsy to use. Maybe it just takes a lot of practice, but we've been playing it every day since Christmas and still bring up the menu when we don't want it, and still cast a line into the ocean when we're just trying to move the character. Wish Wii Animal Crossing used that old controller, only wireless. That would be great!
