Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars the best computer authors on the market.   September 13, 1999

When i was in junior college this was the first book i read from shelly/cashman. Ever since then when i had to take different classes, i didn't want to read any other book if it wasn't from shelly/cashman. They assume that you know nothing about computers and by the end of the course you become a professional! I have never read a computer book that breaks down technical jargon into layman's terms as good as shelly/cashman does. I have read their books for the past eleven years. I have professors who say the same thing.

When i was in technical college, i had friends who would copy their books even if it took hours from the copier machine. they have concluded that shelly/cashman are God given computer authors. I would someday like to meet Gary b. shelly and Thomas j. cashman. If they ever retire from writing books. the end of simplicity will come.
