If you want to stretch your mind beyond the limitations of our everyday world, Robert Moss is the author to read. His meticulously researched explorations into the realms of dreaming and the possibility of a multi-dimensional universe inspire, educate and provide practical applications for enhancing the way we live. I was delighted to see an old favorite, "Dreamgates", republished with an enchanting new cover. "Dreamgates" delves into the mysterious interconnecting pathways of soul, intention, imagination and life after death. We are encouraged to remember who we are in totality and our purpose here on earth. Concrete step by step exercises support this amazing journey and offer us tools for problem solving, growing our dreams, connecting with guides and guardians, healing the wounds and fears of death and dying and much more. Weaving together his own personal experiences, numerous case studies and historical references, Robert Moss engagingly nudges us to open our minds and hearts and become the most that we can be.

Dreamgates makes clear that we can follow the shaman's lead and make a deeper direct connection to Spirit. Through actively working with the material of our dreams we can find assistance to get through life's difficulties and steer ourselves toward healing both spiritual and physical. Robert Moss does us great service as he's shown us the possibility of a more creative life through the personal examples of his actively working with his own and other's dreams. He also provides us the tools in the form of clear and effective meditation exercises so that we actively engage with our personal dream space. This book could be subtitled "The Care for the Soul Manual."

I think almost everyone has woken up from a dream that made them wonder if it contained a hidden (or not so hidden) message. More often than not, most of us let go of the thought. Only later do we look back and realize that perhaps we should have listened or at the very least dug deeper into the meaning.
Dreamgates goes beyond simple dream symbolism and using dreams to better our waking world. In this book, the author teaches us how to actively dream. Following some very simple steps, we can not only learn to analyze our dreams while we are experiencing them but we can purposefully dream to learn and connect with others. We literally can stop the scene in progress to focus on a particular symbol or ask a guide for clarification on a particular aspect. We can even purposefully choose our dreaming intention to learn a new skill, work through issues, gain a better understanding of a concept, do research, and even see the future.
By reading Dreamgates, we come to realize that many cultures see dreaming not as a passive form of nightly entertainment but as another important form of consciousness. That dreaming is seen as a means to commune, learn, and go beyond the boundaries of our physical bodies. Moreover, learning from and using active dreaming is not limited to the shaman or the enlightened. It's really very easy to start and it's up to us where we want to take the process.

I have applied the ideas expressed in this book and they have changed my life! Robert Moss offers a technology for getting in touch with your own, personal, inner wisdom and guidance. He then demonstrates the courage to illuminate the pathway with examples from his own life. Robert Moss walks the walk. Bravo!
