5 out of 5 stars Great book   April 2, 2010
vince panella (italy)
Honestly, if you are interested into online marketing, its
a great book to get you started , both if you are a total
beginner like me or a seasoned marketing professional.
It's very straight to the point and not a boring read,
with great tips from some real great experts in the field
such as Tim Carter, Brian Clark, Joel Comm, Jim Kukral,
Ted Murphy and many others.
It is a compilation of 88 affiliate marketers
within the "Affiliate Summit Inner Circle"
each contributing a page or two on their strengths.
This includes topics such as general affiliate marketing,
email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO),
social media and more.
I liked it because the tips were quick and to the point.
Chapters are only a couple of pages long and it makes for great
"interval" reading.
Personally, I found some real gems in this book , and still, for
the new marketer, this will give you a lot of fundamental
insight to many of the aspects involved with internet marketing.
I liked it and recommended it.

5 out of 5 stars A Who's Who Of Internet Marketing Expertise   April 2, 2010
Mike Wallace (Sacramento, CA United States)
The table of contents on this book reads as a veritable who's who of Internet Marketers. This book covers the basics of what affiliate programs are and how to choose the best one, then it goes on to forms of promotion from PPC to email lists, and everything in between. The authors are actually Internet Marketers who share their expertise on subjects that they know and know well. It even covers social media, video blogging, pod-casting, and my favorite GTD, which is all about being productive and using our limited time effectively. If you are new to Internet marketing and affiliate programs this book will be an eye opening read. If you have experience in the IM field this book may be even more valuable for you. The experienced IM person will not be overwhelmed with all of the information and will actually be able to glean the little tidbits that only experienced marketers can share. This book is a good read and a great addition for your book shelf.

2 out of 5 stars Lack of substance for the most part...   March 2, 2010

To me, this book presented itself as a collection of articles (poorly edited in some respects) about affiliate marketing for the most part.

The title should have been "Affiliate Marketing From The Real Experts".

The book is an easy read, as most of the articles are pretty short in nature, covering a wide variety of topics...but none in depth. If you're getting started in affiliate marketing, this might be a good "primer" of sorts...but as a resource you'll constantly refer to, in my opinion this book gets low marks.

3 out of 5 stars A bit disappointed   February 10, 2010

The book is so heavy in affiliate marketing, which takes up almost 40% of the content. It is presented in blog style with very condensed bullet points explanation and lack of details or examples. It does give me some insights, but most of the suggestion from expert I've read in many blogs before.

5 out of 5 stars Everything you need to know about performance marketing   February 1, 2010

After being in affiliate marketing for the last 8 years, I was skeptical that I could learn more about the "in's and out's" of performance marketing and online marketing overall. I think the thing that sucked me into reading it and making it from cover to cover was that all the contributors to the book are well-known, authoratative, and people I know or have seen be successful. It is important to read this with an open mind knowing that each person has unique points of view. I was able to glean nuggets out of most sections that will be useful for me today, as well as when I encounter new things going forward. I read this on a plane and it was easy to get through in two 2-hour flights.
