Artistic, Informative, Credible & Inspiring November 17, 2009 Kaia Petin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Many of the other reviews here specify all that is amazing about this book. But what truly stood out for me was the connections Mr. Godwin draws between the art of various cultures over a wide range of time - with our ability to understand and experience the lucid dream phenomena in the current paradigm.
With such a wide base of both artistic as well as scientific support for his commentary, not to mention the simple exercises he includes - it brought the topic of lucid dreaming, and perception in general, firmly into my open hands.
This book might actually be the holy grail. October 7, 2009 M.E.T. 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I should preface these comments by noting that anything I could say about this book probably cheapens how incredible it is.
For a number of years, I've been reading books/articles/etc. that question our traditional conceptions of reality, and they've typically each been within a particular area (i.e., philosophy, psychology, cosmology, lucid dreaming, religion, quantum physics). This book cuts across domains to provide synthesis, and does so with beautiful artwork and ways for readers to learn about, ponder, and experience the subject matter.
This book is astounding and I highly recommend it.
Simply the best September 3, 2009 OBI_Ron (At the crossroads) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book most certainly be the best on the subject. A must read for everyone even remotely interested in the subject. And the artwork - stunning!
Wow, what a fabulous book and articulate author September 16, 2008 QueenOPearls (Lakewood, OH) Three chapters in and I am hooked. Malcom Godwin has a conversational style with fabulous vocabulary. It is not written for those looking for the meaning of dreams but for those who, like me, look forward to waking up to my participation in both sides of the dream world.
This book dovetails beautifully with Michael Talbot's "Holographic Universe", also offered here on Amazon.
Enjoy!
