Product Description For almost thirty years, ZAGAT has reported on the shared experiences of diners. Here are the results of the 2009 AMERICA'S TOP RESTAURANT SURVEY, covering 1,222 restaurants. No matter the economic climate, our appetite for lively dining destinations continues unabated, inspiring ever bolder ventures. For every notable closing, there's another restaurateur waiting in the wings, often joined by an expensive team of architects and designers and ZAGATSURVEY is always there to note the changes. So whether you are looking for the hippest restaurant, where to dine with celebs or find a lunch bargain, the new ZAGATSURVEY 2009 AMERICA'S TOP RESTAURANT SURVEY rates and reviews over 1,250 of America's best restaurants. The newest guide delivers ZAGAT'S signature comprehensive coverage, rating each restaurant on appeal, decor, service and cost.

Great Travel Tool November 12, 2008 Dennis Doverspike (University of Akron, OH, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you are going to a really large city, I would recommend the City specific guides over the America's Tops (and thus the 4 stars instead of 5). Still, this guide is a must have for the traveler or even for your own city if it does not have a city specific guide. The information is very accurate and up to date. However, there is a disadvantage to the only top restaurants approach. Also, for example, the Cleveland section includes no Akron restaurants. That may be helpful for the business traveler staying in a downtown hotel, but for most other people it would paint a distorted or limited picture of the available choices. Still, for the price, this is a great deal.
