1 out of 5 stars Not very interesting   December 12, 2008

I am MBA finance student and also get BBA in finance.
Honestly, i have not found sth much interesting in this textbook. I bought it because it was required. I rarely read this textbook, fortunately i already sold it to bookstore with reasonalbe price comparing to what i paid with amazon, thanks amazon!
I may recomment "Investment" by Bodie, Kane and Marcus to you if you want to understand more about finance. I really like this textbook.

The book written in a very friendly language - extremly easy and interesting to read. Very inpiring, I can't take myself away from it.
There would be twic as many students in the world as now if every text book was written so that it makes a reader smile.

This book is waste of moeny. I am a MBA student and had to read this book for the course. There was not a single page of this book that was easy to read. I had to read other finance books at the end. It is inadequate and does not explain many important concepts in finance. It jumps into complicated issues without explaining the basics. It lacks defenition of terms. I have compared this to other finance books and found this very inadequate and difficult to understand.

2 out of 5 stars Not an easy read for newbies   June 23, 2008

I am an mba student and this book takes a long time to get use too. The authors do not help you understand concepts easily if you are new to finance in general. I wasted a lot of time trying to understand material about topics by reading the back. It lacked the essentials to point out key concepts with good examples. Look to other easier books to understand with examples. This book is unnecessarily wordy.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Book and Reference   April 7, 2008

This book is a wonderful book for both business and advance education. The books provides a sound foundation that can be used to build upon to manage a business finances or to better understand the process. I recommend this book for students or business managers both inside finance and outside. The only downside that I have found is the book lacks in the area of inventory control and measures that can be used for supply chain management or lean management. Other than this it is a wonderful book to learn about the principles of business finance.
