Product Description The #1 New York Times bestseller--now in paperback! Top-rated radio personality Laura Ingraham issues a call to arms in Power to the People--a plea to reinvigorate our birthright of liberty, to reconnect to our American heritage, and to revive our commitment to traditional, conservative principles. Ingraham exposes the threats we face from an emboldened cultural Left, global dogmatists, science worshippers, and politicians who spend more time on their hair than on constituency outreach. She also offers real-world solutions for how we can demand more from our leaders and ourselves. Power to the People will not just rile up Ingraham's millions of fans, it will also incite readers to do their part to protect the country that we love. "It is ours to lose," she writes, "and there are many at home and abroad who are more than willing to take it from us. Let's get to work."

Long live Laura! December 29, 2008 David C. Read (Glendale, CA USA) This is a great audio book, in part because it is read by the author, Laura Ingraham, in the voice that has become so familiar to her radio audience. Substantively, Laura is a lawyer who clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas, so her views on legal issues are unusually pertinent and sagacious. Judicial tyranny is looming ever larger as a threat to our republic (witness the recent CA Supreme Court decision finding a hitherto completely unknown constitutional right to same sex marriage) and Laura's chapter on this subject is one of the best I've come across in all of the conservative literature. I also admire Laura's emphasis on family, and how the "pornification" of our culture makes it more difficult to raise children with sound moral values. She points out how no fault divorce changed our whole social concept of marriage. Not many among even conservative, pro-family writers are aware of how radically no fault divorce amended the sexual constitution.
IT STINKS! November 19, 2008 THE REAL AMERICAN (philadelphia, pa) 0 out of 13 found this review helpful
If a hundred monkeys given infinite amount of time chained to a hundred type writers could write all of Shakespear's work. Then one monkey chained to a type writer could write this garbage in 30 minutes. It wouldn't even need the typewriter since it could just smear it on the paper. If you want the feel good talking points of the year, Look elsewhere. Its trash and just another blame THE REAL AMERICA first NEOCON-JOB book for the American-TALIBAN to rejoice over. A ludite bigot by any other name is Laura Ingraham. I GIVE THIS STINKER A MILLION THUMBS DOWN
Many Sermon Topics November 2, 2008 M. S. Metzger (Metro-Manila) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The book was well written and organized in a topical way so as to make it easy to actually teach straight from it. Her writings are such that it will make a great resource for future sermon preparation. The stats, quotes, etc are priceless. The book will endure for a long time and it's truths never ending.
Recommend to Everyone October 11, 2008 Star Wright (Tucson, AZ) This is a great book. Once I picked it up I had trouble putting it down. Very honest and interesting. I am going to buy some more copies and give them as stocking stuffers this Christmas. This is the kind of book you want to share and tell every one you know about!
power to the people September 20, 2008 Esther Turner (Webster Groves Mo) Great book All these years I wasn't really able to put in words why I was a conservative but Laura defined it right.
